Sudha society in association with art of living and rwa south city 2 gurgaon celebrated world environment day yesterday on 1st june( 1st june is also observed as international children day ) 2014 at a-one block south city 2 gurgaon. Mr.sarthak agarwal s/o sushil agarwal ( resident of sector 14 gurgaon ) cbsc topper in the india for the year 2014 (99.60 %) studying in the dps school vasantkunj delhi was the guest of the honour.sh. S.c. sharma president rwa south city 2 was the special guest of the function.sh. S.k. tiwari regional director sudha society of up state also attended the function. The programme was conducted by the sh.g.k.bhatnagar president sudha society. The large number of residents and children attended the function from the south city 2.sh. G.k. bhatnagar president wecomed the guests at the beginning.
At the outset of the programme ms. Osin khare d/o sh. Amitabh khare studing in the 6th standard r/o a-one block south city 2 gurgaon recited the poem in the hindi before the audience on the topic environment which was appreciated by the all gathering. Followed by this quiz competition was arranged for the children and adults which was conducted by sh. G.k.bhatnagar.questions related to environment and general knowledge were asked to the audience and prizes were given the the winner by sh. Sarthak agarwal and sh. S.c. sharma , sh. S.k.tiwari and sh. G.k.bhatnagar. Sh. Himlaya joshi s/o anil joshi and vinitha joshi ( mother ) student was given prize for the best slogan written in the placard by sh. Sarthak agarwal. All the children participated in cycle rally were given prizes by the society.ms. Radha d/o rubi ( mother -rubi is maid servant in south city 2 ) who scored the 90% marks in the 10th board was also honoured by the sudha society . Sarthak ‘s parents also honoured the ms. Radha by giving cash prize to her on the spot. It was unique gesture shown by the parents of sarthak towards ms. Radha d/o rubi ( maid servant’s daughter)
After the quiz competetion cycle rally was organised with the placard hanging on the cycle by the children which went to dblock south city 2 from a-1block south city 2. Police department deployed 6 traffic staff to control the traffic on the road besides this ambulance was following the children for the safety purpose provided by the park hospital south city 2 gurgaon. Mr. G k .bhatnagar also informed that number of cycleshas increased in the south city 2 with their compaign started last year. Sudha society encourage cyclying for environment protection and good for health.
Mr. Sarthak spoke on the ocassion and thanks the sudha society for honouring him.he emphasis the children for hard work in studies and to participation in extra curriculum activities for over all growth in the life.sh. Sarthak later on interectedwith the students and parents of the children and give them mantra of success in the exams.he also give autographed to the children who has approached him for that.
The programme ended by vote of thanks proposed by sh. G .k. Bhatnagar to sarthak agarwal,and his parents, s.c. sharma , s.k. tiwari, park hospital south city 2 for providing ambulance , policedepartment for deploying traffic staff and residents and children of the south city 2 for thier active support and participation. Sh. Akash agarwal executive member of sudha societyand sh. Amitabh khare president rwa, a-1 block south city 2 , and sh. Mukesh sharma soft ware engineer took hard work to make the programme sucessful.all the residents appreciated the activity conducted by the sudha society for the benefit of the people and underprivilege people. Sh. G k bhatnagar also congratulated the sarthak for his academic achievement and given good wishes for his future career.
Sudha society celebrated the world environment day last year also on 2nd june 2013 and the theme of the programme was ‘’ no honking’’ and cycle rally in which arti madolia mrs india asia pacific (tourism ) 2013 was the chief guest besides above society compaigned for car pooling in the year 2010 and given slogan “ pool karo kool raho global warming se dur raho’’. On 15th august 2013 rwa south city 2 also honoured sh. G.k bhatnagar presidentof the society by giving him cerificateof appreciation on his contribution madein the field of environment protection.the society was registered in the year 2009 and is involved in so many social activity.
