National Blood Donation Day
BLOOD DONATION is one of the most noble and necessary contributions one can make.
Blood can be donated once in every three months, by any healthy adult.
Blood has four groups, A,B,AB and O ( ABO blood group system). There is another group which is called the Bombay Blood Group( HH group).
The Rh system(Rh means Rhesus) is the second most significant blood group system.
Blood can be stored only for a limited period of time.
SUDHA SOCIETY (Regd), RWA South City 2, Art of Living and Vishwa Bharatiya Samaskar Trust, Delhi organized a Blood Donation Camp on National Blood Donation Day, 01.10.2017. International Blood Donation Day is on 14th of June.
Large number of people gathered to donate blood at A1 Block South City 2, Gurugram. This campaign was supported by RED CROSS SOCIETY , Delhi. Residents of A1 Block South City 2 and many outsiders also joined this noble cause. Sudha Society (Regd) provided refreshments such as fruits and juices etc to the donors.
Shri. G.K. Bhatnagar, president of Sudha Society coordinated the activity. Shri. Neeraj Yadav, president of RWA South City 2, Gurugram, was one of the first participants to attend the camp.
Public awareness was noted during the Blood Donation Camp. By organizing such Blood Donation Camps we can enrich the capacity of the blood banks.
Blood donation is our human duty. So we all must come forward to donate blood as it can save many lives. This was the main motto of our blood donation camp.
