ENVIRONMENT DAY, 2019
Inspired by the UN Environment Day theme 2019, Air pollution, SUDHA Society tried to make a difference on this world environment day by organizing a tree plantation program near Paras Irene, Gurugram.
They made their small yet significant contribution towards Mother Nature by planting saplings as a token of love and gratitude towards their mother nature. The day started with all the residents gathering together. SUDH Open School kids also attended the tree plantation drive.
The gathering was addressed by Mr. GK Bhatnagar, President of SUDHA Society. He said that we are seeking to expand the work of plantation and other social service activities, it’s just a beginning. Through his speech he congratulated all the volunteers who gathered for this noble cause and motivated each member to keep up the good work. The passionate members started planting the sapling and later everyone together took an oath to nurture and protect the saplings they are planting. 115 plants were planted. Everyone took selfies with their saplings which they planted with full love and hope. Cultural program was also organised by the volunteers.
SUDHA Society wishes a greener and safer environment for future. The primary motive was to create awareness and promote sustainable and safer environment by inculcating love for nature and to encourage the youth to stop blaming others for all the problems but rather to take initiative and to come together as concerned citizen and as one team, and actively work towards a greener and cleaner World. The day was observed with great enthusiasm.
