Shramik Diwas
Labour Day (Antarrashtriya Shramik Diwas) is set to celebrate the hard work and achievements of the labour group. This day has its origins in the labour union movement, specifically the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest.
Many countries celebrate this day on a different day. However, in maximum countries, this day occurs on the 1st of May that happens to be International Workers’ Day.
Recognizing labour as the main assests of any community ,Sudha society also made a small contribution on this labour day by distributing 3000 good quality cotton masks to needy people amidst the lockdown situation .
Along with masks ,20 needy people were also provided with dry ration.
Maskindia.com supplied the masks and along with the residents of South city II,
Sh. GK Bhatnagar, President- Sudha Society was able to accomplish this distribution process.
Labour day is important as it enables workers to take some much-needed rest from their work and to collect their thoughts, spend time with their loved ones, or just recover their energies.
It is a special day to appreciate and recognize the contribution of labour to society as they are certainly well deserved.
