On World Environment Day, SUDHA Society organized various online competitions. On the occasion, an online slogan making and poster making competitions for children were organized. Besides, a few residents- Sh. Hemant Chopra, Mrs. Kuppalakshmi Rajaram and Sh. Ajay Jhingra of South City 2, Gurugram, were honoured with a certificate of appreciation for being a friend of environment by maintaining alluring and beautiful gardens within their premises. Chief guest of the ceremony was Col. Sunil Chawla.
The online competition received an overwhelming response, students from different states participated. 6 best slogans were shortlisted (3 in Hindi and 3 in English language) of students from Gurugram, Meerut and Bangalore, by our Honourable Judges- Mrs. Savita Syal and Mrs. Sanjoly Jha. The winner along with other participants were awarded with certificate of appreciation. Also, for the first time, SUDHA Society offered to borne the fees of Art Of Living on-line Medha Course (breathing course) of Rs. 1000 for the winner of the competition. In addition, parents of the participants who secured first, second and third positions along with three consolation prize holders were offered to take part in K-Y-C Course (fees of Rs. 200 will be borne by SUDHA Society).
This year World Environment Day was celebrated online all over the world, because of the pandemic however it offered a global platform for inspiring positive change. It recognizes that global change requires a global community.
