Environment Day 2021
Polythene ka Bahishkar, Sudha se Hoga Sudhar
Social organization SUDHA Society, celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2021 at Sector 46 in Gurugram. The Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Gurugram, Mr. Dheeraj Kumar was the guest of honour of the occasion.
Ms. Ruchi Saxena, President of SUDHA Society, said that it is the duty of every citizen to save the environment. If the health of us and the coming generation is to be protected, then everyone should plant and nurture trees and should boycott polythene. Just sending a WhatsApp message will not save the environment. The adornment of Mother Earth is from her greenery, from the trees, from the green crops. The name of our state is also Haryana i.e., Hara- Green, everyone has to come forward.
On this occasion 11 nature lovers of Gurugram were given a platform to talk and they were given a letter of appreciation by Mr. Dheeraj Kumar for their excellent work. Mrs. Vanshika, Richa Gupta, Radhika Bajaj, Tanul, Sanjay Sharma, Ravindra Singh, Sanjeev Khurana, G. D. Madan, P. K. Dixit, Satveer Yadav, Chetan Chauhan were among the same.
About 500 cloth bags were distributed to poor families, with a request to avoid the use of plastic bags, spreading awareness henceforth. Mr. Gopal Krishna Bhatnagar, Chairperson- SUDHA Society said that its main objective is to raise awareness to protect our nature and to look at various environmental issues that are increasing day by day. He said ‘Pollution on the earth is increasing among every country running in the race for modernity. The consequences of which we get to see from time to time. Due to the sudden increase in the level of pollution in the environment, the temperature is also seen increasing, while somewhere due to the increased level of pollution, there is no rain for a long time. Today, during the period of Covid 19 Pandemic, people have got a mask on their faces and after some time an oxygen cylinder will also come on the back of our children, If we do not act now’
