Mr. Shashvat Rastogi, student of Class12 in Vasant Valley School Delhi, for organising a camp for the under-privileged students of our school.
On the occasion of "INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CLIMATE ACTION" on 24th October 2023, Shashvat led this educational camp “You need to be aware to act- save environment” which was followed by a musical show and lunch. Many students & volunteers participated in this camp.
Shashvat educated these students about climate concerns, awareness and prevention of damage to nature, environmental-friendly actions needed at the local level, and importance of REDUCE-REUSE-RECYCLE.
He explained these concepts with very interesting power point presentations and videos.
He broadly covered waste management, water conservations, climate change, solar panels, wind mill, plastic waste, eco friendly toys, and other examples from day-to day activities. The presentation was found to be very knowledgeable and interesting by the students and brought about the sensitisation to the climate concerns and action needed.
SUDHA Society is grateful to Shashvat for devoting time and efforts for this pressing issue of climate action on International Day of Climate Action.
We are hopeful that Shashvat continues to organise similar environment issue specific camps for our students in future as well.
